There are three main styles of product/advertising photography which happen to be used the most.
1. Clean background shot – It has mainly informational purpose. Mostly used in ecommerce shops or broshures.
2. Hero shot – The shot to be remembered. This is the leading photograph, the attention grabber. Usually it is made in super small quantities like 1-7 photographs and has the biggest impact on branding and sales.
3. Editorial and lifestyle – Apart from the product in its perfect, isolated state. it is important to be seen in reality. In other words to give the client the perfect situation where he/she can use it and enjoy it.
